Funky Family Portraits

What can I say? They’re funky, they are portraits and they don’t have to be limited to your family… How about your work colleagues? Your friend group? They’re fun, silly and sometimes a bit bonkers but each and every one is truly unique and individual. Every Funky Family Portrait is personalised to your brief. It’s an original artwork, hand-drawn and painted, finished with a touch of glitter and a shot of giggles. I love a bit of pretty, so bring on the bunting and ribbons and we are away!

Ordering your very own Funky Family Portrait is as easy as pie. Please email me at: studio@emilycooperartworks.co.uk and request a Funky Family Portrait information file. If you have a deadline, please let me know as soon as possible, my order books tend to run with around a four to six-week turn around (depending on the time of year, this can be increased massively!). If you have left things a little late and are in a panic however, I will always try to accommodate wherever possible.

Once we have talked dates, we can price your very own commission! I have a pretty simple pricing structure which goes like this…

An A4 Funky Family Portrait including up to three characters is £65.00. Each character thereafter is £7.50. Please note, anything with a heartbeat counts as a “character”, this starts with us humans, runs through your normal cats and dogs and ends up with slippery snakes, fabulous fish and glorious guinea pigs. Bunting, general flowery prettification in the form of flutterbyes and bumbles, the tag line and a touch of glitter are included in the price, as is one special item per person. Go bonkers here if you like… A fairy wand and wings? A tiara? A Batman costume (kids look great in fancy dress but so do the adults!)? A mixing bowl and spoon with a chef’s hat? A rugby ball? Fishing rod? You get the picture.

You can go for a full backdrop which is priced at an additional £30.00. It can be anything you dream up, I intend to fill the whole space, so a castle, a sea scene, a dream home, a vision from a dream or even a nightmare will fit the bill perfectly!

I take full payment in advance to secure your booking via Paypal. Once your payment is received, a completion date will be generated and your booking confirmed. I have a form for you to fill in and email back to me which makes your task all the easier. Once that is done, all I need is a photograph of each character. I recommend a bit of Facebook stalking here but if that option isn’t available to you, a snapshot will do, as long as it is well lit and shows me hair colour and height. All this happens via email but if you would rather have a chat about your commission, drop me an email with your contact number and we can make the most of my free minutes.

Postage and packaging for a Funky Family Portrait (including postal insurance) is £10.00 for the UK only (please enquire for p&p price for further afield). Your artwork will be delivered to you via Royal Mail, first class and will need a signature on arrival. I will let you know when your commission is due for posting, so if a work address is better for you, then just let me know. Please enquire for postage costs on larger commissions.

Whether this is a gift for you, Great Aunt Maud or a friend, you won’t be disappointed with this totally original artwork. They make amazing and totally original gifts for every occasion and always raise a smile. I have painted these portraits for birthdays, anniversary presents, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, christenings, get well soon gifts, Christmas presents (book early!), a little retail therapy for the online shopper looking to improve the smile allowance in their home and of course, weddings.

Wedding portraits are going to blow all the guests away and leave the bride and groom amazed at your taste and style and don’t forget that if you are looking for a first wedding anniversary gift the tradition is paper!
